Shamantha: I am a psychologist specializing in Clinical and Counselling. As a child, I always wanted to create a unique change in people’s lives and this is why I went on to do a B.A in Psychology, Journalism and English and an MSc in Clinical Psychology where I graduated with a distinction and a bronze medal
I hold certifications in Queer Affirmative Counselling Practice, Emotional Freedom Technique, Child and Adolescent Development Alternative Therapies in Positive Psychology and Career Counselling by ICCC Level
1. Having nearly 6 years of experience as a mental health practitioner at a hospital setting, education settings, my own private practice and other esteemed platforms.
I have dealt with a diverse set of cases pertaining to anxiety, depression, trauma, lifestyle, health, stress management, work-life balance, de-addiction to name a few.
I have also facilitated workshops and talks on various topics for Schools, Corporates, Non-Governmental Organizations and Healthcare.
I have been a panelist to many a discussion and published articles and have been quoted on offline and online media sources apart from being a guest speaker at the radio channel RedFM.
During my spare time, one can find me motorcycling, backpacking, binge watching murder mysteries or reading.
Current interests are learning Arabic and the keyboard. I also love engaging in social work!
